Meet the Owners
At Twisted Spoke Cafe, we're more than just a spot to grab a drink or a bite—we're the heart of Ohiopyle, run by two friends who fell in love with adventure and hospitality. John Greer and Rob Voorhees met in the early 80s as students at West Virginia University. Their bond was forged on the river as rafting guides, sharing a passion for the great outdoors and the camaraderie it inspires. To make ends meet during their guiding days, they honed their skills in the service industry—bartending, serving, and managing at some of Morgantown's favorite establishments. With decades of combined experience and a shared enthusiasm for biking, rafting, and everything Ohiopyle has to offer, John and Rob decided it was time to blend their passions. Twisted Spoke Cafe is the result—a place where locals and visitors alike can unwind, refuel, and feel part of the adventure. Stop by, share your stories, and get to know John and Rob.
